TRIANGULAR
GUIDELINE tape has a
ridge extruded down its middle that is thicker at the apex than it is at the
sides. When it is wrapped in a spiral fashion, overlapping itself and following
the guideline, the end result is an even, uniform wrap.
In contrast, wrapping a standard Rectangular extrusion (flat) tape creates an
uneven, convex surface.
TOMMY TAPE'S UNIQUE GUIDE MARK SYSTEM: Tommy
TapeŽ has developed it's own unique, "Guide mark" line
system. We do not utilize a "painted line" when manufacturing
Triangular Guideline Tape. Some of the advantages to the "Guide mark"
line system are:
- The line
will never crack; it stretches with the tape. Our
guide mark system is extruded from the same high-grade silicone as our tape.
This improved, one piece system allows our line to have the same 300% elongation
capability as the tape itself.
- The line can correctly
be counted in the mil. thickness. For
years the industry has incorrectly counted the painted line as part of the mil.
thickness. The painted line has NONE of the
properties of the Silicone Rubber Tape. Since the Tommy TapeŽ guide mark
is extruded from the same formulation as our silicone rubber tape, it can
correctly be counted in the mil. thickness and meet the industry's Dielectric
Strength 400 V.P.M. (Volts per Mil.) specification for 20 Mil. Self-Fusing
"Triangular" Silicone Rubber Tape throughout!
All Tommy
TapeŽ Silicone Rubber tapes utilize easy-to-use
"hand breakable"
Mylar
liners.
